The Kipp Crawford Memorial Fund at the Ashland Schools Foundation

Kipp Crawford was born and raised in Ashland and graduated Ashland High School in 1996. He was a talented drummer who began playing at age 11 and carried his passion into a professional life of music and studio recording. Kipp embraced music, particularly jazz, and shared that love with those around him.

Sadly, in 2009, Kipp’s life was taken too soon by a tragic accident in Portland. Following his passing, Kipp's parents, Jean and Vern Crawford, established the Kipp Crawford Memorial Fund at ASF in his honor. The fund serves to carry Kipp's legacy by instilling a passion for music in Ashland students, and is primarily intended to support music initiatives for Ashland High School students, especially in jazz.

In 2011, the Kipp Crawford Memorial Endowment Fund was established in partnership with the Oregon Community Foundation. This special account serves to continually grow the fund to support young musicians and secure a lasting legacy in Kipp's honor.

100% of your contribution to the Kipp Crawford Memorial Fund will go toward strengthening music programs and opportunities for Ashland music students.
